Chennai police arrested two men, including a person from Virupatchipuram in Vellore district, for allegedly attempting to extort ₹8 crore by impersonating a Tamil Nadu minister and promising a ministerial position to a Vellore MLA. Police seized mobile phones and a computer-related device during the investigation.
